Cookie Policy

Last updated: 25th September 2026

This policy explains what cookies are, which ones this site uses, and how to change your choices. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers personal information more broadly.

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. They let a site remember things between pages and between visits, such as whether you are logged in or what you chose last time. Similar technologies, including local storage and tracking pixels, work in much the same way, and where we say cookies in this policy we mean those too.

The rules changed in 2026

Until recently, UK law required consent for almost every cookie that was not strictly necessary. From February 2026, a small number of low-risk uses no longer need consent, including first-party analytics used purely for aggregate statistics and cookies that remember how you prefer a site to look.

Anything used for advertising, tracking across websites or building a profile of you still requires your consent, and always will. Where we rely on one of the new exemptions, we still tell you about it here, because you are entitled to know what is happening either way.

What this site uses

Essential cookies

These make the site work and cannot be switched off. They include the security check on our contact form, which stops it being used by bots, and cookies set by our content delivery network to serve pages quickly and safely. Without these, parts of the site would stop working.

Analytics

We use analytics to understand which pages people read, how they arrive and where they give up. It tells us which of our articles are worth writing more of, and it is reported to us as totals rather than as individual people.

Advertising

If we are running advertising, these cookies tell us whether it worked, and they can be used to show our ads to people who have visited before. These are only set if you agree to them, and nothing advertising related runs until you do.

Embedded content

Some pages include content from other services, such as an embedded video or map. Those services can set their own cookies when the content loads, and they are governed by that provider’s own policy rather than ours.

Changing your mind

You can change your cookie choices at any time using the cookie settings on this site. You can also block or delete cookies through your browser, and all the major browsers let you do this from their privacy or settings menu. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site working properly.

Questions

If you want to know exactly what is running on this site, ask us at info@radmco.com and we will tell you. If you are unhappy with how we handle any of this, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
